  • Inspired by real events, as I studied the art of storytelling in college, I was confronted with memories I had volunteering at a senior center down the street from my house. I always wanted to write about the peculiar moment I had in there one day.

  • I wrote this story for my “Disability and the Media” course I took during college. I was inspired by an article detailing a similar dynamic, but reworked it into a story influenced by my favorite book, Sherwood Anderson’s Winesburg, Ohio.
